He has also held Organ Scholar and Assistant Director of Music positions at Collegiate Churches in Warwick and Wolverhampton respectively.

Der aus England stammende Organist William Peart zählt zu den talentiertesten und vielseitigsten Musikern seiner Generation und ist freischaffend als Künstler sowie Lehrer tätig.
William geht einer ausgedehnten Konzerttätigkeit nach, die ihn an viele bedeutende Instrumente in Deutschland - darunter diejenigen in den Domkirchen zu Berlin, Brandenburg, Freiberg (Sachs), Merseburg u.a.; Thomaskirche, Nikolaikirche und Michaeliskirche Leipzig, St Wenzel Naumburg, Schlosskirche Altenburg, Frauenkirche Dresden - in zahlreichen Ländern Europas, in den USA und Kanada führte. Namhafte Auftritte bei Festivals in England und Deutschland u.a beim Three Choirs Festival, Worcestershire Early Music Festival, den Merseburger Orgeltagen, den Hildebrandt-Tagen Naumburg sowie dem Bachfest Leipzig. Des Weiteren liegen zahlreiche Aufnahmen für Fernsehen, Rundfunk und CD von ihm vor u.a für rbb Kultur, MDR Kultur, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, BBC Radio 3 sowie die BBC Proms. Darüber hinaus ist William regelmäßig als Continuo-Spieler zu hören. Auftritte bei renommierten Ensembles beinhalten Konzerte sowohl als Solist wie auch als Continuo-Spieler bei dem Monteverdi Choir & English Baroque Soloists, dem RIAS Kammerchor Berlin, dem GewandhausChor und Orchester Leipzig, der Berliner Bach Gesellschaft, der Kammerphilharmonie Berlin, dem Sächsischen Barockorchester, Ensemble La Notte sowie dem Vocalconsort Leipzig. William studierte Orgel am Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, an der Universität der Künste Berlin sowie an der Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ Leipzig (Meisterklassenexamen) und schloss seine Studien „mit Auszeichnung“ ab. Zu seinen Lehrern zählen u.a. Thomas Corns, Prof. Henry Fairs und Prof. Dr. Martin Schmeding (Orgelliteratur), Daniel Beilschmidt (Orgelimprovisation) sowie Raphael Alpermann (Cembalo). Während des Studiums war er Stipendiat der DAAD- und Ad Infinitum-Stiftungen. William spielt ein umfangreiches Repertoire und beschäftigt sich häufig mit Projekten, beispielsweise mit dem gesamten Orgelwerk von Maurice Duruflé (2020), César Franck (2022), Franz Liszt (Große Orgelwerke) und Julius Reubke (2023) sowie Olivier Messiaen (2027). Neben seiner künstlerischen Arbeit unterrichtet er das Fach Orgel für den Thomanerchor am forum thomanum Leipzig. Von 2022-24 hatte er einen Lehrauftrag für Vokale Korrepetition an der Universität der Künste Berlin. William Peart (b. 1996) is a highly versatile musician, who maintains an active freelance performing career that takes him across the world.
William's concert schedule takes him to many important venues and instruments: recently to the Cathedrals of Berlin, Brandenburg, Freiberg (Sachs), Merseburg; Thomaskirche, Nikolaikirche and Michaeliskirche Leipzig, St Wenzel Naumburg, Schlosskirche Altenburg, Frauenkirche Dresden, all across Europe, to the USA and Canada. Important festival appearances in England and Germany include those at the Three Choirs Festival, Worcestershire Early Music Festival, Merseburger Orgeltage, Hildebrandt-Tage Naumburg and the Bachfest Leipzig. He has appeared on, and recorded extensively for, TV, Radio and CD, both in the UK and Germany: notably for rbb Kultur, mdr Kultur, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, BBC Radio 3 and the BBC Proms. William is highly active as an ensemble- and continuo player. Collaborations with acclaimed ensembles include appearances both as a soloist and continuo player with the Monteverdi Choir and English Baroque Soloists, RIAS Kammerchor Berlin, GewandhausChor und Orchester Leipzig, Berliner Bach Gesellschaft, Kammerphilharmonie Berlin, Sächsisches Barockorchester, Ensemble La Notte and Vocalconsort Leipzig. William graduated with first-class honours, and as a multiple prize-winner, from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (UK). Scholarships from the DAAD- and Ad Infinitum Foundations enabled postgraduate studies at the Universität der Künste, Berlin (Master) and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" Leipzig (Meisterklassenexamen), from where he graduated with distinction. Important teachers and influences include Thomas Corns, Prof. Henry Fairs and Prof. Dr. Martin Schmeding (organ literature); Daniel Beilschmidt (improvisation), and Raphael Alpermann (harpsichord). William enjoys playing and teaching an extensive and eclectic repertory, and often occupies himself with substantial performance projects: examples include surveys of the complete organ works of Maurice Duruflé (2020), César Franck (2022), Franz Liszt and Julius Reubke (2023), as well as Olivier Messiaen (2027). William currently resides in Germany, where, in addition to his artistic pursuits and private teaching, he teaches the Organ for the Thomanerchor Leipzig, and is on the staff at the Universität der Künste, Berlin. |
